KEC update on the 2021/2022 School Year

Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) Kahnawà:ke, Quebec – 19 Ohiarihkó:wa/July 2021 - With the 2021/2022 school year fast approaching, KEC is in the process of making major plans to welcome all students back into our classrooms this September regardless of whether or not they have been vaccinated.

“We feel confident that staff and students will be able to resume classes in person at each of our KEC schools.  We are in the process of reviewing our health & safety guidelines in order to welcome our staff and students back in the safest environments possible,” said Robin[RD1]  Delaronde, Director of Education.

KEC will continue collaborating with our Local Public Health Team and the Kahnawà:ke Public Safety Unit in the coming weeks and throughout the school year to ensure staff, students, and community remains safe as preparations are made for a new and exciting school year.

The KEC Home Learning Program will be offered for the 2021/2022 school year, however not as presented this past year.  We will only be giving considerations for acceptance to those students who have valid medical conditions.  Registrations will need to be completely filled and handed in by the deadline of Friday, July 30,, 2021.  Each registration needs to be accompanied by an official Doctor’s Note to validate the child’s condition and to recommend Home Learning by their physician.  For more information or if you believe your child qualifies for this program,  you can access the registration form by clicking the link below or by going to
