Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) Kahnawà:ke, Quebec – 27 Onerahtóhkó:wa/May  2021 - As you may have heard, there was a recent announcement made by Kahnawake’s Task Force that the Pfizer vaccine will be available for those aged 12 to 15 years beginning Thursday, June 3rd, 2021.

Vaccinations will be held at the Kahnawake Mohawk Bingo hall beginning on Thursday, June 3 to Saturday, June 5, from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.  The Center will be increasing their availability by adding evening and weekend appointments, especially for this age group, so be sure to check the dates and times.

Appointments can be made on the www.kahnawake911.com site and by clicking on the santè icon.  Anyone under the age of 14 will be required to have parental consent and be accompanied by a parent.  If you cannot accompany your child, you are able to fill out a consent form prior and provide a cell phone number where you can be reached.

We are looking forward to a successful school re-opening in the fall and receiving the vaccine is one way of ensuring students in this age group can return on-site and engage with their peer group with some ease.  We would like to minimize any potential interruptions to on-site learning due to positive cases in the fall and ask parents to thoroughly review options and be informed.

The second dose for 16 and 17-year-olds will be announced in the coming weeks.
