Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) (Kahnawà:ke, Quebec) – 29 Enniskó:wa/March 2021 - The KEC would like to reassure our community that our schools do not have any Métallifer SNN200642 masks in stock nor have we had any in the past.  An announcement made this past weekend, which indicates that this type of mask is toxic, provoked the urgency to look into our inventory.  Each of our school’s maintenance teams, Kahnawake Survival School, Kateri School, and Karonhianonhnha School, have confirmed that we do not have any masks of this type in our possession.

The SNN200624 masks made by Métallifer, a Quebec-based company are blue and grey in color.  The provincial government has recalled these masks due to traces of toxins in the masks.  Please be vigilant when using masks given to you at outside organizations or stores.

Stay safe and continue to wash your hands, mask, and social distance.
