Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) (Kahnawà:ke, Quebec – 7 Tsothórha / December 2020) - The Kahnawà:ke Combined Schools Committee (KCSC) is pleased to announce that Shakohawi (Clint) Goodleaf was appointed as Karonhianónhnha Tsi Ionterihwaienstáhkhwa representative on the KCSC by the parents of Karonhianónhnha Tsi Ionterihwaienstáhkhwa at their In-School Committee meeting on Thursday, December 3, 2020. He and Leslie-Anne Stacey hold the two (2) Karonhianónhnha Tsi Ionterihwaienstáhkhwa representative seats on the KCSC. The committee is very excited to welcome him to the team.
Terms of office on the KCSC are three (3) years from the date of appointment. The following seats on the KCSC remain vacant:
- 1 General Seat (for a parent/guardian of student(s) attending outside schools funded by the KEC);
- 1 Community Seat (for an Onkwéhon:we who does not have a child on the KEC nominal roll);
- 1 Kateri School Seat (for a parent with a child attending Kateri School). Please note: Chelsea Lahache’s term expired on November 3, 2020.
The KCSC will decide at their next monthly meeting if they will hold a special meeting at a later date for the vacant general and community seats.
