Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) (Kahnawà:ke, Quebec – 5 Kenténha/October 2020)  KEC needs to know if those parents deemed essential workers and who currently have children enrolled in one of our three schools for on-site learning will require on-site schooling for their children.

KEC will accommodate those parents who need to continue working in our community by offering their children on-site schooling.  However, parents will need to meet strict requirements.  To find out if you qualify for this service, please visit KMHC’s website, which has a List of Essential Services posted.

You can find the link here to verify who qualifies as an essential worker:

http://covid-19.kmhc.ca/2020/03/24/business/  (this link is not accessible at the moment)

Those parents who are working in the Essential Service Industry will need to contact their child’s school Receptionist and provide the following information:

  • identify that they are essential
  • indicate what essential service category they fall under
  • identify who their employer is

We will be verifying this information with the organizations indicated.  Please provide us with this information by Wednesday, October 7, 2020, as we need to prepare to accommodate our students who require this service.  If we do not hear from parents deemed Essential Workers by the deadline date, we will not be able to provide their children with on-site learning.

Thank you very much to our parents for their timely response and cooperation.
