Kahnawà:ke Education Center (KEC) (Kahnawà:ke, Quebec – 18 Seskéha/August 2020) - Thank you to all of our parents who proactively took the time to answer our questions regarding schooling in September. Although there were a few who were unreachable, we have a solid idea of classroom set-ups and other procedural plans.
We compiled the data from the input we received and we are pleased to provide you with some results.
- At Kateri School, 50% of parents responded that they would be sending their child/children to school on site.
- At Karonhianónhnha Tsi Ionterihwaienstáhkhwa, 46% of parents responded that they would be sending their child/children to school on site.
- At Kahnawake Survival School, 44 % of parents responded that they would be sending their child/children to school for blended learning.
This feedback is positive for planning purposes.
We remind those parents who were undecided or who may change their decision since the time of the survey that your final decision will be required by August 31, 2020. Please contact your respective school indicating your intentions by that date.
Specific details regarding guidelines for school re-opening will be ready next week and further details on the KEC Home-Learning Program will be forthcoming. These details should help support parents who were undecided at the time of the surveys.
For those parents who missed the opportunity to answer our survey, we invite you to call your school to give us your valued input.
